On Saturday morning, all attendees to the reunion headed for the Naval Amphibious Base on Coronado Island. Sufficient buses to accomodate the more than four hundred using this mode of transportation from the hotel were boarded by Swift Boat sailors and their families as they departed for NAB and the Vietnam Unit Memorial Monument for the day's activities

In honor of the Swift Boat Sailors Association and the 2007 Reunion, the County of San Diego issued a proclamation stating that Saturday May 5, 2007 was to be known as Swift Boat Sailors Day throughput the county and would be so declared by the San Diego County Board of Supervisors at a Memorial Ceremony held at the Vietnam Unit Memorial on that day.
