The Second Texas Swift Boat Mini-reunion was held on September 16, 2006 at the Hawthorn Suites Hotel situated right on the Galveston Seawall overlooking the Gulf

Saturday morning was designated as free time for all arriving attendees at the reunion. Many took the opportunity to do some browsing in the quaint old commercial shopping section of the city. Others hit the links for a round of golf and then an early nineteenth hole recounting of Swift Boat times so long ago and far away. Several attendees took in the restored steel sailing ship ELISSA to recall the earlier history of Texas maritime commerce.

In the afternoon, everyone gathered in the Hawthorn Hospitality Suite for for some serious retelling of those tales of yore that seem to just get better and more vivid as the years get older and shorter. This is what reunions are all about. Enjoying comradeship of fellow Swiftmates in sharing a common bond that was forged so long ago and far away

At around six thirty in the afternoon, everyone helped Sylvia Horne straighten up the hospitality suite and changed venues down the seawall to THE SPOT, a favorite bar and walk up kitchen serving the bestest and largest portions of quality Texas shrimp and other seafood on this planet! The reminisences of Swift times long past continued until everyone departed with full dispositions and fond memories of another fantastic reunion.
